Greeting from the Cincinnati Men's Soccer Office

In less than 48 hours, the world will change as we know it.  A competition so intense, a global battle, will ensue in many cities in South Africa.  The first time the World Cup will ever be held on the African continent.  History in the making!

We would like to invite you to join us from time to time to keep up with this world-wide event over the next 4 1/2 weeks.  Our coaching staff will be discussing and sharing insight into games and items on and off the fields of South Africa that our of interest to us and others.

My name is Daniel Ensley, I am the Associate Head Coach for the men's soccer program here at the University of Cincinnati.  I will, with the help of my colleagues Head Coach Hylton Dayes and Assistant Coaches Jeremy Bonomo and Chris Black, be sharing some information that we will be gathering and preparing before most games.

From a UC perspective, this is a historic event as we will have a former UC Soccer Beacat captain and player actually helping to lead his country.  Tim Brown, a 2003 DAAP Graduate from the University of Cincinnati, will be vice-captaining the All Whites from New Zealand in Group F play.  His team will compete with Italy, Paraguay, and Slovakia for the rights to advance out of the group.

Here is a picture and a short bio of our boy TImmy:
