Cincinnati Athletics Compliance Welcome to the University of Cincinnati Compliance Office. As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the BIG EAST, the University of Cincinnati is dedicated to complying with all the rules and regulations set forth by those governing organizations. The role of the Compliance office is to avoid violations of NCAA and BIG EAST rules and regulations through the administration of a comprehensive compliance program. At the cornerstone of the compliance office's efforts is a strong commitment to proactive rules education that targets every individual involved in our athletics programs. The educational endeavors are bolstered through the implementation and administration of extensive documentation and monitoring programs. The Compliance office strives for integration with all the campus units that deal directly with our student-athletes. Our office makes every effort to maintain a compliance web where everyone is working together to ensure that checks and balances are sustained throughout our system. The end result of the Bearcats compliance program is the avoidance of rules violations, thereby maintaining the integrity of intercollegiate competition and the positive image of the University of Cincinnati and its athletics programs. Through a commitment to honesty and sportsmanship, the compliance office and the UC Department of Athletics seek to maintain intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the educational program and the athlete as an integral part of the student body.
