CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati celebrates this week's Bearcat Friday!
The Bearcat mascot took a trip to the Wesley Chapel Mission Center on Wednesday, October 24th to visit children, grades K-8, during their after school program. The Bearcat signed autographs, took photos with the children and had some fun giveaways for them as well.
“The children were ecstatic to see the Bearcat come to the Wesley Chapel Mission Center. They eagerly hugged him and were delighted to get his autograph. The smiles on their faces as they hugged the Bearcat during picture taking told the story of their delight in having him visit. The posters, folders, mini balls and shakers were a big hit too! The Bearcat sure was the most popular guy in Over-the-Rhine,” said Becky Costello, Director of the Wesley Chapel Mission Center.
The Wesley Chapel Mission Center is located in Over-the-Rhine, serving the community through spiritual nourishment & love, educational programs, and social/moral development, to empower children and families to make sound decisions. In addition to competing against other participating groups to show your colors with pride, registering will make you eligible to win prizes for your group and maybe even get a visit from the Bearcat himself.
