Tom Gelehrter joined the Bearcats athletics staff in August 2006 and serves as the senior director of new media and broadcasting. Gelehrter is responsible for all multimedia content on GoBEARCATS.com, including live game broadcasts, interviews and features. He serves as play-by-play voice for women's basketball, host of "Bearcats Sports Weekly," Mick Cronin's television show on FOX Sports Ohio, football sideline reporter for 700 WLW, host of the Mick Cronin's Radio Show and play-by-play voice for men's and women's basketball games broadcast on FOX Sports Ohio.

Previously, Gelehrter served as the play-by-play voice for the first round of the BIG EAST Men's Basketball Championship at Madison Square Garden on BIGEASTTV.com and quarterfinal action of the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Championship on BIG EAST Radio. He also served as the play-by-play voice and studio host at the University of Akron from 2002-2006, Studio Host for the Cleveland Force from 2002-2003 and play-by-play voice for the High School Game-of-the-Week on WARF-1350 AM.

Gelehrter earned his bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from Syracuse University in 2002.
