Senior Director/New Media and Broadcasting

Tom Gelehrter joined the Bearcats athletics staff in August 2006 and serves as the Senior Director of New Media and Broadcasting. Gelehrter is responsible for all multimedia content on, including live game broadcasts, interviews and features. He serves as the "Television Voice of the Bearcats", host of "Bearcats Sports Weekly," Tommy Tuberville and Mick Cronin's television show on FOX Sports Ohio, football sideline reporter for 700 WLW and back-up radio play-by-play voice for football and men's basketball broadcasts on 700 WLW. Additionally, he has called college basketball games for ESPN Regional Television, ESPN3 and the American Digital Network.

Previously, Gelehrter served as the play-by-play voice for the first round of the BIG EAST Men's Basketball Championship at Madison Square Garden on and quarterfinal action of the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Championship on BIG EAST Radio. He also served as the play-by-play voice and studio host at the University of Akron from 2002-2006, Studio Host for the Cleveland Force from 2002-2003 and play-by-play voice for the High School Game-of-the-Week on WARF-1350 AM.

Gelehrter earned his bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from Syracuse University in 2002.
