Matthew Mitchell joined the UC staff in July 2011 as the assistant athletic trainer for men's soccer and women's tennis. Matthew's responsibilities also include managing the athletic training room facilities and therapy pools.
Prior to arriving at Cincinnati, Matthew was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for two years at Syracuse University. Matthew was responsible for the care and rehabilitation of the Syracuse Men's Soccer team. Matthew also assisted with coverage of the football, lacrosse, and men's and women's basketball teams.
Matthew earned his Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from Pittsburgh in 2009, where he worked as an athletic training student with men's soccer, women's tennis, women's gymnastics, softball and with the football team at Carnegie Mellon University.
Matthew is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Norwood, Ohio with his wife, Rita.
