Jeff Smith joined the University of Cincinnati staff in 2001. An assistant athletic director for athletic development for four years, Smith was promoted to Associate Athletic Director in the summer of 2010.
He oversees the day-to-day operations of the UCATS annual fundraising campaign, marketing and group sales initiatives, customer service as well as the director of priority seating.
Smith also has experience in major gift prospecting, solicitation and coordination, in addition to the oversight of all stewardship, prospecting and new member growth initiatives. He has also assisted in the allocation, sale and coordination of priority season tickets for football and men's basketball.
Prior to his arrival at UC, Smith was an account executive at Robert Half International, where he was responsible for sales and marketing in the Tri-State area for the information technology division of a $3.5 billion a year international organization.
Additionally, Smith was the director of marketing and promotions at Troy University, where he marketed and promoted 16 Division I athletic programs and enhanced marketing efforts to prepare the football program's move to NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision status. He coordinated all aspects of season tickets for football, basketball and baseball and assisted in tripling season ticket sales for the 1998 football season.
Smith attended Ohio University, where he earned his bachelor of science degree in sport science in 1996 and a master of science degree in athletic administration in 1997.
He has a daughter, Alexis.
