UC Athletics Memorabilia, Ticket, and Appearance Requests

Thank you for visiting our request website and for your interest in UC Bearcats Athletics

Please note that the University of Cincinnati may not provide any items to events that will directly or indirectly benefit prospect-aged individuals (e.g. 9th-12th grade, 7th - 12th grade for Men's Basketball). An individual is considered a prospect from the time he or she enrolls in 9th grade until the time he or she enrolls at a collegiate institution. High school graduation does not negate prospect status.

In addition, NCAA Bylaws require:

  1. All monies derived from the promotions activity or project must go directly to the charity, non-profit agency, or educational institution.
  2. The requested item may not involve co-sponsorship, advertisement, or promotion by a commercial agency other than a company logo or trademark on printed materials.
  3. Requests that benefit events which include gambling and/or gambling activities will not be honored.
  4. An authorized representative of the agency must sign a waiver agreeing to adhere to all NCAA regulations regarding this request.
  5. Use of the memorabilia item must have written approval from the University of Cincinnati Athletic Department Compliance Office.
  6. Memorabilia may not be re-sold for any purpose without the approval of the University of Cincinnati Athletic Department Compliance Office.

Memorabilia and Ticket Policy

In an effort to satisfy the increasing number of requests, the University of Cincinnati has a policy whereby individuals and organizations have the opportunity to request autographed memorabilia and/or tickets for use for charitable purposes only. Because of the high demand for these items, requests for personal use, which includes requests for items to be used as gifts, cannot be honored at this time.

Available items are as follows:

  1. Head Coach autographed balls (balls to be supplied by requestor).
  2. Promotional Items.
  3. Game tickets (subject to availability)

In an effort to assist as many charitable efforts as possible, requests for more than one of any autographed item for a single event cannot be honored. Tickets for UC sports are only available at certain times of the year, and requests for tickets outside that period of availability cannot be filled.

Due to the many obligations of our coaching staff, they may not be immediately able to sign additional memorabilia, particularly while their teams are in season.

It is NOT permissible under NCAA rules to sell any item that includes the autograph of a single student-athlete. For that reason, UC does not facilitate requests for student-athlete autographs. Anyone wishing to obtain a student-athlete signature may do so at regularly scheduled signing events.

A limited supply of tickets and promotional items are available. Requests are filled on a first come, first served basis. Once the annual supply is depleted, additional items will not be available until the following academic year. All requests will be reviewed and either approved or denied by the Compliance Office in accordance with NCAA rules. If your request is approved, you will be contacted to arrange payment and pickup. If your request is denied, you will receive an email notifying you why the request may not be fulfilled.

Items will be available for pickup Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM at the UC Ticket Office. If you reside out of town, items may be shipped to your home or the address of your organization. UC accepts cash, credit/debit card (excluding American Express), money order, and check. Checks should be made payable to the University of Cincinnati. UPS and FedEx account numbers may also be used to ship memorabilia.

Appearance Policy

NCAA rules permit UC coaches and student-athletes to make appearances and/or participate in certain community events. Availability is limited due to class, travel, and competition schedules. Student-athlete participation is subject to the approval of the coaching staff and the Compliance Department.

The academic and athletic obligations of UC student-athletes take precedence and NCAA rules do not permit student-athletes to miss class to participate in promotional activities. As such, there is no guarantee that an appearance request can be filled. Student-athletes are also unavailable during certain times of the year, including but not limited to: Thanksgiving Break, Fall Finals Week, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Spring Finals Week. Availability during summer school is also limited. Due to safety concerns, student-athletes typically are not available to make appearances outside a 30-mile radius from campus.

NCAA recruiting rules determine the time periods whereby coaches may attend banquets, meetings, and make personal appearances. Each sport has different timeframe restrictions during the year. The UC coaching staff will act in accordance with these NCAA rules in accepting/declining appearance requests.

Also, NCAA rules restrict the use of the name or image of a student-athlete to promote an event. Therefore, any use of a name, photo, or likeness of a student-athlete must receive prior approval by the Athletics Compliance Office.

It is permissible to provide actual and necessary expenses directly associated with participation (i.e. meal or transportation).

All appearance requests will be reviewed and either approved or denied by the UC Athletic Department Compliance Office in accordance with NCAA rules. Student-athlete appearances will be coordinated by the Director of Student-Athlete Development. Coaching staff appearances will be coordinated by the individual sport office. If your request is denied, you will receive an email notifying you why the request may not be fulfilled.

Appearance requests for the Bearcat or Cheerleaders should be made to the UC Cheerleading office at 513-556-3463 or uccheerleading@yahoo.com.

Appearance requests for the Dance team should be made to the UC Dance Team office at 513-556-0124 or ucdanceteam@gmail.com.

To make a memorabilia, ticket, or appearance request, please provide the requested information.

UC items may NOT be used in fundraising events for ANY high school organization, high school fund raising event or ANY high school or prospect-aged individual (High School is defined as grade 9th-12th and 7th-12th for Men's Basketball).

Requests must be made 6-8 weeks prior to their event.
