Live from 5/3 where I'm using my third computer of the day (seriously guys, my laptop is totally screwed). But if I have to go through a dozen computers to get my live blog on, that's what I'm going to do.

So, here we go.

Rashad Bishop with a nice steal during a Texas Southern breakaway, and then on the other end of the court, he hits a soft runner in the lane.

For all this talk about how impressive Yancy Gates was in his first game, he air-balled a layup attempt and then committed an offensive foul. He's out of the game less than 2 minutes in.

The past week or so, I caught some grief from the assistants and managers for commenting on their lack-of-tie look for the NKU game. Maybe so, but everybody is wearing ties tonight.

It only took seven seconds to call, but UC finally gets the officials to call 5 seconds on Matthew Miller for another Texas Southern turnovers. It's got four so far. UC has three.

Darnell Wilks hits a wide-open 3 to give UC a 15-2 lead. Then, the next time down the floor, Vaughn hits Wilks for a beautiful alley-oop. The crowd really enjoyed that one.

Gates picks up his second foul with 12:58 to go. Out he goes. In comes Anthony McClain.

Texas Southern has missed three layups so far. The Tigers, who made 1 of their first 9 shots, finally make another. with a DeAndre Hall layup.

Texas Southern is pressing every time it makes a shot. Which is to say the Tigers aren't pressing very often. When they do, UC is not having a problem handling it.

With 9:36 to play, Bishop picks up his second foul.

UC is shooting 58.8 percent from the floor. Texas Southern is 22.2 percent.

Alvin Mitchell hits back-to-back 3-pointers. He's got eight points now.

UC is 5 of 10 from the 3.

This is getting ugly. But in a good way for UC.

really strong play by Dixon after his misses another free throw. UC gets the rebound, Dixon has the ball on the sidleine and feeds Vaughn who ran from the opposite end of the court to lay it in while being fouled. Pretty sweet turn of events.

Vaughn leads the way with 12 points and Mitchell has eight. UC is shooting 60.6 percent from the floor. The Bearcats are out-rebounding the Tigers 23=16. Dixon, Vaughn and Toyloy all have four boards. Dixon and Vaughn also have four assists apiece.

UC misses its first four shots in the half and commits three turnovers early as Texas Southern cuts the lead to 51-28 before Toyloy hits a short jumper.

Are the UC students not doing the confetti thing in the second half anymore? Noticed there was no snowing after Toyloy hits his shot.

In less than 6 minutes of this half, UC has forced two shotclock violations from Texas Southern.

Well, so far, UC is 2 of 13 from the floor this half. Texas Southern has outscored the Bearcats 8-5. Until Alvin Mitchell hits his third 3 of the game. He's one off his career high.

As Mark "Daddy Wags" Wagner points out, UC's bench has outscored the entire Tigers team 33-32.

Scary moment for UC with 9:14 to play. Deonta Vaughn goes down and holds his knee and stays down. He's up and walks off the floor under his own power. I guess we'll see if he returns. Looks like he's OK. And 39 seconds later, Vaughn is back.

With one free throw, Mitchell ties his career high with 12 points.

This second half, I can't say I've been all that impressed with UC's defense.

With that 3-pointer with 3:47 to play, Mitchell has a career-high 15 points.
