UC Swimmers in Seventh and Eighth After Day Three|

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Cincinnati swimming teams posted eight top 10 finishes on day three of the 2007 BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Championships at the Nassau County Aquatics Center on Friday. Heading into the final day, the UC men stand in seventh, while the women are eighth.
The Bearcats set season-bests in eight of the 12 events. The top finisher was Jeremy Peter, who shaved five seconds off his best time to place third in the 400 IM in 3:55.47. Marcel Kleiner posted his second fourth-place finish in the championships, finishing the 200 free in 1:39.03. The 400 Medley Relay team cut its best time by five seconds to place fifth in 3:19.69.
For the women, Elinore de Jong was the top individual finisher, placing seventh in the 100 fly in 55.69. The 400 Medley Relay team finished sixth in 3:51.38.
The final day of the meet, which features 12 more events, begins at 10 a.m. with the women's 1650 free.
