ROCHESTER, Mich. – The University of Cincinnati men's and women's swimming and diving teams head to the Great Lake State to compete in the Oakland University Quad Meet Friday and Saturday at OU Aquatic Center.
In addition to Oakland, the Bearcats will match up against Ashland, a NCAA Division II school, and Division III Kenyon College in a two-day quad meet starting Friday at 6 p.m. and continuing on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Cincinnati is coming off back-to-back difficult meets after the UC men and women fell to Miami University on Friday and placed third in a tri-meet with Louisville and Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
On Saturday against the Cardinals and Eagles, UC was led by freshman Helena Pikhartova (100-yard breaststroke), senior Liz Hansson (50-yard freestyle) and sophomore Werokina Wasiakowska (100-yard freestyle), who each recorded an individual first-place finish. In the men’s division, junior Roberto Nevarez recorded the Bearcats' top individual finish with a third-place showing in the 100-yard butterfly.
At the Miami meet in Oxford, Ohio last Friday, senior Haywood Miller paced the Bearcats with two first-place victories in the men’s 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes. Pikhartova, Miller’s UC counterpart, also earned two first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes against the Redhawks.
