CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's and women's swimming and diving teams hit the road this weekend for a pair of meets against three BIG EAST Conference foes.
UC visits University of Pittsburgh for a 5 p.m. Friday dual meet at Trees Pool. The Bearcats will then travel to Morgantown, W.Va. to take on West Virginia University and Villanova University beginning at noon Saturday at WVU Natatorium.

Cincinnati is coming off a split decision in its 2011-12 season opener, a dual meet against Xavier University on Oct. 21. The UC women defeated Xavier by a score of 183-105, while the Bearcat men fell to Xavier 167-96.
In the men's division, senior Haywood Miller (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase/Maryland) recorded UC's lone individual first-place finish vs. XU after making a come-from-behind win in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 9 minutes, 46.58 seconds.
UC senior Liz Hansson (Lund, Sweden/School of St. Petri) produced a standout performance against Xavier after earning first-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (58.60 seconds), 50-yard freestyle (24.31) and 200-yard backstroke (2:06.92) and anchoring the 4x50-yard medley relay team to another victory.

Following Friday and Saturday's meets, Cincinnati will make a return trip to western Pennsylvania Nov. 18-20 to compete in the Pittsburgh Invitational.
