The University of Cincinnati track & field programs tallied seven top-five finishes in the opening day of the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Ind.

Je' Rica Sanders and Javette Lee gave UC a good start at the Indiana Relays as they posted the third and fourth fastest times in the 60-meter hurdles. Sanders finished second in her heat with a time of 8.62, while Lee won hers with 8.74.

The open 200-meter dash proved to be another strong event for UC as Morgan Gordon was the runner-up with a time of 25.25 and Shanice Smith finished fourth at 25.55. Both times were season-bests for the veteran sprinters.

Gabby Calderone moved into UC's top 10 list in the 600-meter run as she clocked in at 1:37.31. The redshirt senior placed eighth in the invitational event.

On the men's side, Dailyn Moore qualified for the semifinals in the 60-meter hurdles as he ran 8.17 and recorded the ninth fastest moment.

Moore's classmate Darnell Gilbert crossed the finish in the open 200-meter dash with a time of 22.27, which was good enough for second place.

Freshman Jordan Hardiman had a breakout performance in the open high jump as he finished third with a collegiate-best clearance of 6' 7.75". His mark moves him from being tied for sixth to second place on the American Athletic Conference performance list.

Tariq Sanders placed fifth in the open long jump as he jumped 23' 1.25". The sophomore's season-best mark moves him into a tie for seventh in the league.

Sophomore transfer Macklin Tudor hurled the shot put 55' 7.75" to claim third place in the open event. Tudor currently ranks fourth in the conference with a toss of 56' 7.25".

The second day of the Indiana Relays begins at 9:35 a.m. ET with the women's morning session of the 400-meter dash.
