Alabama Relays Results | Black & Gold Challenge Results

The University of Cincinnati track & field programs closed out their first outdoor meets of the year as the men competed at the Alabama Relays and the women ran at the Black & Gold Challenge.

On the men's side, sophomore transfer Macklin Tudor stole the show as he broke the school record in the discus. Tudor hurled the discus 190' 11" to break a 21-year old record. The former record holder was Greg Weber with a mark of 180' 10". The sophomore finished third in the event.

Sophomore Bryan Cain was the runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles as he recorded a personal-best time of 14.13. His time ranks seventh in UC history.

In the 400-meter dash, Darnell Gilbert recorded a career-best time as he crossed the line at 47.25. His time keep him slotted at ninth on UC's record books.

The distance medley relay claimed fourth as they clocked in at 10:38.50. The foursome that ran were Ethan Bokeno, Brian Barney, Ryan Jorgenson and Anthony Car.

The women's team had a good day at the Black & Gold Challenege in Orlando, Fla. as they garnered 11 top-three finishes.

The Bearcats' strongest event was the pole vault as they claimed the top three places. Sophomore Alyssa McBride led the way with a clearance of 13' 5.25", which is an outdoor personal best. McBride remains fourth all-time in UC history. Sarah Rasnick and Amanda Hotaling snatched second and third with each clearing 12' 1.5".

Sophomore Kenya Woodall continued her 400-meter dash success in the first outdoor meet as she won the event with a personal-best time of 53.55, which now ranks second in UC history behind Olympic gold medalist Mary Danner (Wineberg) at 53.30.

Senior Jessica Molyet grabbed anther individual title as she won the discus throw. She had a toss of 156' 7". Mary Bridges claimed fourth with a hurl of 147' 5".

Sophomore Erika Hurd finished second the high jump as she cleared 5' 6" but was unable to match the event winner at 5' 8". Ashleigh Pickens was third in the event.

Junior Mekayla Breland set an outdoor personal-best mark in the shot put as she won the event with a throw of 47' 6.5". She remains fourth in UC's record books with that toss.
