Black & Gold Challenege | Alabama Relays

The University of Cincinnati track & field programs are back in action this weekend as they open up the 2014 outdoor season. The women's team will compete at the Black & Gold Challenge, while the men head to the Alabama Relays.

The Alabama Relays will be a two-day meet with Friday's competition beginning at 2 p.m. with the weight throw. Running events will start at 5 p.m. with the 4x200-meter relay.

Cincinnati will be competing against some of the nation's top programs in Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, USF, Southern Miss and Tulane.

The women's meet in Orlando, Fla. is a Saturday only competition, which begin at 10:30 a.m. with the javelin. Running events will start at 3:30 p.m. with the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Along with host UCF, the Bearcats will compete against Rutgers, FIU, Florida and Jacksonville.
