Oliver Nikoloff Central | Meet Schedule | Heat Sheets
For the first time this season, the University of Cincinnati track & field programs will stay home as they host the 2014 Oliver Nikoloff Invitational at Gettler Stadium on March 28-29. The Invitational is the first of two meets the Bearcats will host with the All-Ohio Championships coming April 11-12.
The Oliver Nikoloff Invitational begins on Friday, March 28 with the men’s decathlon at 11:30 a.m. Many of the events will take place on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. with field events. Running events are slated to start at noon.
Rally towels will be given away at noon on March 29 to the first 100 fans to visit the Marketing table, which will be located on the plaza by the entrance. Fans are also encouraged to sign up for the raffle, which features two prize packs valued at $50 each. The two prize pack winners will be announced between 12:30-1:30 p.m. on March 29.
Both programs are coming off a weekend in the South as the men’s team competed at the Alabama Relays, and the women were at the Black & Gold Challenge. The highlight on the men’s side was sophomore transfer Macklin Tudor breaking a 21-year old discus record by 10 feet. On the women’s side, the squad recorded 11 personal-bests in the one-day meet in Orlando.
A number of Bearcats started the outdoor season on the right foot with a number of them ranking high in the NCAA’s East Preliminary standings. Those standings can be found here: Men’s East Preliminary | Women’s East Preliminary.
Admission to all Cincinnati track & field meets is $5 for adults and $3 for youth (under 12-years old). Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $1, but they must do so in advance by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX.
