Cincinnati to Compete at USF Collegiate

The University of Cincinnati track & field programs head south to compete at the USF Collegiate on Friday. The meet begins at 8:30 a.m. with the women’s hammer and running events start at 12:30 p.m. with the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Heading into this weekend, UC has 10 athletes ranked Top 30 in the NCAA East Regional with five on each squad. Those on the men’s side are Josh Dangel (third, pole vault), Darnell Gilbert (seventh, 400m), Macklin Tudor (10th, discus), Bryan Cain (17th, 110m hurdles) and Dillon Risser (27th, pole vault). The women’s side has Kenya Woodall (fifth, 400m), Alyssa McBride (eighth, pole vault), Mary Bridges (20th, discus), Jessica Molyet (25th, discus) and Mekayla Breland (27th shot put).

Other teams participating at the USF Collegiate will be USF, Kennesaw State and Minnesota (women only).

Frida’s meet will be roughly one month from the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, which are May 2-4 at the USF Track & Field Stadium.
