UC Heads to Louisville for Last Chance Meet

The University of Cincinnati track & field programs hit the road for Louisville, Kentucky this weekend to compete at the Cardinal Twilight. The one-day meet serves as a final chance for the Bearcats to improve their times and marks and qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary.

UC is coming off a weekend of rest after competing at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, May 2-4, in Tampa, Florida. The men finished in sixth place at the league meet, while the women took ninth overall, respectively.

The top 48 individuals per event in the East Preliminary make the trip to the Sunshine State. Currently, 10 Cincinnati student-athletes rank inside the top 48 in the region.

Friday’s meet begins at 10 a.m. at the University of Louisville Cardinal Park with throwing events. Other field events will follow with the first running event beginning at 4 p.m.
