Randy King Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

CINCINNATI – Excelling in both track and cross country, and in the classroom, University of Cincinnati senior Randy King earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic First-Team All-District honors for District IV, the organization announced today.

At the 2009 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships, King finished seventh in the 3,000 steeplechase with a NCAA regional qualifying time of 9:05.50. In the final meet of his career at the NCAA Mid-East Regional, King closed out his season with a 28th-place time of 9:31.10.

During the cross country campaign, King was the top finisher for the Bearcats in two meets, including a first-place finish at the Mel Brodt Invitational. King also was the top finisher for the Bearcats at the Great Lakes Regional, crossing the line in a 36th-place time of 32:19.1 in the 10k.



King owns a 3.97 grade point average in electrical engineering. This is the second consecutive year that King has earned CoSIDA Academic All-District distinction.
