Mary Wineberg Advances To 400m Semifinals At U.S. Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. - University of Cincinnati assistant coach Mary Wineberg ran a time of 51.93 to place second in her heat and advance the semifinals of the 400 meters at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore.

Wineberg, a 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 4x400 relay, will run on Saturday, June 23 at 8:15 p.m. ET. She is slotted to run in lane four in the first of two semifinal heats.

NBC will air live coverage from the Olympic Trials from 8-9 p.m. ET.

Wineberg is one of three current/former UC student-athletes competing at the trials.

2008 Olympic Silver Medalist David Payne and senior Terrence Somerville will run in the prelims of the 110 hurdles on Friday, June 29. Payne qualified in 13.34 while Somerville holds a qualifying mark of 13.44.
