A FEW THINGS ABOUT ALISON...

Family: father, Walt, and mother, Carol, sister Kim, brother, Justin, and grandmother Alice Barth. I have a dad and mom who currently live in Cleveland, a sister who is married and lives in Pittsburgh, and a brother who lives in Richmond, Va. My grandmother currently lives with my parents in Cleveland.

Favorite food?: Pasta. I could eat it every night - and in fact, most nights I do.

Favorite music?: I love any kind of music, particularly music I can dance to.

Favorite other form of entertainment?: I enjoy watching movies.

Favorite thing to do when not studying or training?: I enjoy sleeping, hanging out with my friends or doing activities outside.

Favorite training run?: My favorite training run in Cincinnati is Mt Storm, I run it every day that I have to run on my own and don't have a set route. My favorite training run outside of Cincinnati is White Clay Creek Park in Newark, DE. It has miles and miles of trails, which is my absolute favorite to run on.

Favorite competition course?: The course we ran last year in Nashville (Vanderbilt).

Favorite place in Cincinnati?: Eden Park Overlook at night--but if Devou Park counts as Cincinnati, then I would have to say the overlook there.

Hobbies?: Horseback riding and swimming.

Why did you choose UC?: I liked that they had a medical campus, it was the perfect distance away from home (less than four hours), and I really enjoyed the coaches and the team.

Future career plans?: I completed a degree in clinical lab science and am currently working on a German degree. I would love to spend a year in Germany working, but will probably end up in a hospital somewhere, hopefully on the west coast. And then in three years, I would like to apply to the FBI to become a special agent.
