A FEW THINGS ABOUT SARAH...
Family: father, Dave, and mother, Jennifer, older sisters, Amanda and Erin and younger sister, Janie. My family means the world to me even though my freshman year of high school my sisters and I were all at different schools and continue to be at different schools for college. They have always supported me in all my running since I started running in the fourth grade. My dad ran for Northern Kentucky University back in his day and I had always pictured myself continuing my running career into college as well. I hope to make them proud as they watch me race as a bearcat!
Favorite food?: Ice cream and anything meat, especially bacon
Favorite TV show?: Pretty Little Liars
Favorite other form of entertainment?: my cell phone :)
Favorite thing to do when not studying or training?: I love to eat and usually do that when I am bored. I also love hanging out with all the athletes in Turner Hall!
Favorite training run?: Igloi workout at Winton Woods
Favorite music to listen to on a training run?: Pump up music! Anything that is fast, has a good beat or is motivational. But I usually don't listen to music because I like being able to hear everything around me.
Favorite place in Cincinnati?: Although it is not in Cincinnati, I love Harbin Park just outside of town in Fairfield.
Hobbies?: I really don't do much besides school and running, but I love being outdoors and doing any other sports. I also love to read a good book every once in a while.
Why did you choose UC?: I chose UC mainly because of the running program. Coach Schnier did an incredible job selling the great program here at UC and I am honored to be part of the team now. Not only that, but the engineering program at UC is one of the best in the country with its co-op program which will be very beneficial to help finding a job.
Future career plans?: I want to work in the food industry once I acquire a degree in chemical engineering. I want to be able to look on shelves at grocery stores and know I helped certain products reach that spot.
