    TERRE HAUTE, IN - The University of Cincinnati cross country teams pitted themselves against the nation's best at the 2007 Pre-National Championships, held on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 13) at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.

    Lilian Jelimo (Kapsabet, Kenya/Kapsabet Girls) was UC's top finisher, placing 50th out of over 250 individuals in a time of 21:13.  The Bearcat women placed 29th as a team.  Jill Glassmeyer (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) placed 106th 21:48. 

    The Bearcats finished in the top 150 on the men's side.  Randy King (North Bend, OH/St. Xavier) and John Dixon (Fairfield, OH/Faifield) both crossed the finish line in 24:50, finishing 125th and 126th, respectively.  Brad Neumann (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) was 150th, finishing in 25:03.

    The Bearcats will head to Louisville for the 2007 BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 27.  The UC men finished ninth and the women placed 11th at the 2006 BIG EAST Championships in Boston, Mass.
