Bearcats Finish 6th, 13th at Great Lakes Regional

    BLOOMINGTON, IN - Led by a pair of Top 20 finishes by Lilian Jelimo (Kapsabet, Kenya/Kapsabet Girls) and Jill Glassmeyer (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley), the University of Cincinnati women's cross country team finished sixth at the Great Lakes Regional Championships on Saturday (Nov. 10) at Indiana University Cross Country Championship Course.  The Bearcats men's team finished 13th.

    Jelimo, who has led the Bearcats throughout the season, was again the top finisher for UC, placing 14th in 21:29.53.  Glassmeyer finished 17th in 21:32.81.

    Leading the Bearcats men was Randy King (North Bend, OH/St. Xavier), who finished 47th in a time of 32:04.18.  Tommy Morgan (Maineville, OH/Kings) was not far behind, placing 56th in 32:28.12.

    The Bearcats will await the NCAA Championships selections, which will take place on Sunday, Nov. 11.
