CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's and women's cross country teams both were named United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic Teams for the 2011 season.

The men's team earned a 3.331 team GPA for the fall season while the women's squad came in at a 3.232.

This is the second academic honor for the Bearcats this month as Eric Finan was recently named the American Eagle BIG EAST Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Finan was also one of 58 men's cross country runners nationwide to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic status.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
