Jack Lee

  • Three-year starter at quarterback, leading the team in passing during the 1957, 1958 and 1959 seasons.
  • Completed 132 of 232 passes (.569) for 1,535 yards and seven touchdowns in 1959.
  • Claude Rost Award as team MVP in 1959.
  • First team All-Missouri Valley Conference in both his junior and senior seasons.
  • Closed UC career holding the school record for completion percentage, a mark since broken.
  • Ranked second nationally in passing and fourth in total offense in 1959; was 10th in passing and 14th in total offense in 1958.
  • MVP of the 1959 Senior Bowl.
  • Also played in the Blue-Gray All-Star Game.
  • Drafted in the sixth round by St. Louis in the 1960 NFL draft but opted to play in the American Football League.
  • Played 12 seasons professionally for Kansas City, Houston and Denver
