Frank Middendorf

  • Called by head coach Sid Gillman "the greatest offensive center in the country."
  • Three-year starter.
  • Was an All-Ohio and All-Mid-American Conference selection his junior and senior seasons.
  • Voted the team's Most Efficient Lineman in 1950 and honored as the Bearcats' most valuable offensive player in 1950 and 1951.
  • Played in the Blue-Gray and Senior Bowl all-star games in 1951.
  • Honorable mention All-American in 1951 (AP, UPI, Colliers).
  • Selected by the Washington Redskins in the 1952 NFL draft.
  • UC Athletics Hall of Fame 1992.
