Nick Skorich

  • Three-year letterman in football as a rugged two-way lineman.
  • Team captain as a senior.
  • Earned All-Ohio honors and honorable mention All-American mention as a senior.
  • Played three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • Launched his coaching career in the NFL with Pittsburgh and served at Green Bay; was offensive coordinator for the 1961 NFL champion Philadelphia Eagles and defensive coordinator for the 1964 NFL champion Cleveland Browns.
  • Served as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles (three years) and Cleveland Browns (four years).
  • Was Assistant Supervisor of Officials for the NFL.
  • UC Athletic Hall of Fame 1977.
