Also set school records in the 100 meters, 4x100 meter relay and 4x400 meter relay.
Champion of the 100 meters, 200 meters and high jump at the 1983 Metro Conference Championships, leading UC to a runner-up finish and earning Most Outstanding Athlete honors.
Cleared 6'10" in his very first meet, fulfilling a vow he made to break the school record.
