Spina, Satterwhite, Geglein Named to 2009 Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Watch List

12/8/2008 - After helping the University of Cincinnati baseball team to a school-record 39 wins last season, seniors Mike Spina (Newberry, Fla./Newberry), Cameron Satterwhite (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller), and Jake Geglein (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) were named to the 2009 Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Watch List, the College Baseball Foundation announced on Dec. 4. The Wallace Award is presented annually to the nation's top collegiate baseball player in conjunction with the College Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. (more)

Memorial for Glenn Sample to be Held at Fifth Third Arena 12/2/2008 - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics announced today that a memorial for former UC baseball coach and longtime Cincinnati Reds official scorer Glenn Sample will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Arena on Monday, Dec. 8. Former UC Baseball Coach Glenn Sample Passes Away at 77 11/24/2008 - Former University of Cincinnati baseball coach and longtime Cincinnati Reds official scorer Glenn Sample passed away Friday evening at Mercy Hospital in Western Hills. (more)
