Playing for the Columbus All-Americans of the Great Lakes League for the second straight summer.
2008 Season (Sophomore):
Made 12 starts after transferring from Ohio Wesleyan.
Ranked fourth on team with 52.2 innings and third with 50 strikeouts.
Earned first win with eight outstanding innings, including 11 strikeouts vs. Chicago State (3/2).
Tallied seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn BIG EAST win at Connecticut (4/6).
Struck out eight in six innings of loss against Youngstown State (3/11). Allowed only two runs in outing.
Also had seven strikeouts against Niagara (3/16).
Held opponents to a .249 batting average.
Summer 2007:
Played for the Columbus All-Americans of the Great Lakes Summer League.
Appeared in nine games, making five starts. Held a 3-1 record and a 4.56 ERA, with 21 strikeouts in 25.2 innings of work.
Ohio Wesleyan: Held a 6-2 record and a 5.02 ERA during one season at OWU ... appeared in 15 games, drawing nine starts and hurling two complete games ... struck out 46 in 61 innings of work ... tossed six shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out six to grab first career win against Ramapo (3/10) ... crafted a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts vs. Greenville (3/15) ... pitched a complete game with 12 strikeouts to beat Earlham (3/31) ... pitched 2.2 shutout innings of relief to earn the win over Mount St. Joseph in an NCAA Regional contest (5/17).
High School: Earned first team all-conference and all-district honors as a senior at Bryan High School ... selected for a spot on the All-Mizzuno Team in 2006 ... grabbed first team all-conference honors in football and honorable mention in basketball as a senior ... went 4-4 with a 2.63 ERA and hit .380 as a prep.
