Batted .291 with 12 extra-base hits and 27 RBI in first year of collegiate action.
Split time between shortstop and right field, before gaining full-time starting job at short on March 29.
Put together a 12-game hit streak in which he batted .391 (18 for 46).
Homered against BIG EAST rivals Georgetown (4/21) and St. John's (5/20).
Tallied 13 multiple hit games, including three hits against Georgetown (4/21), Morehead State (5/3), Miami (5/16) and Rutgers (5/24).
Hit .337 (34 for 101) in last 26 games, since passing 100 at-bat mark for season. Had 21 runs, 13 RBI, six doubles, a triple and two home runs during the stretch.
Fourth on team with six stolen bases.
Showed great bunting ability with team-leading 12 sacrifice bunts and five bunt base hits.
High School: Twice garnered first team all-state accolades at Huntington High ... earned three all-conference awards ... hit .383 as a sophomore, .411 as a junior and .440 as a senior ... finished prep career with 61 RBI and 64 stolen bases ... led squad to two sectional championships ... awarded honorable mention all-state in basketball, helping squad to state championship as a senior.
