-The University of Cincinnati baseball team plays two midweek ballgames, starting with a 6:30 p.m. Tuesday contest at Wright State University. The following day, UC plays host to the University of Toledo at 6:30 p.m. at Marge Schott Stadium.
-Redshirt junior right-handed pitcher Christian McElroy is slated to take the mound for the Bearcats against Wright State.
-UC freshman left-hander Mike Conrad will make his first collegiate start Wednesday against Toledo.
-Cincinnati is coming off a win 1-2 BIG EAST Conference road trip against St. John's in Queens, N.Y. -Prior to the series against the Red Storm, UC defeated in-state rival Ohio University 4-1 on Wednesday.
-Bearcats freshman infielder Ian Happ has reached base safely in the past 19 ballgames. He leads the BIG EAST Conference in walks and ranks tied for third in doubles.

-UC will send redshirt junior right-hander Christian McElroy to the mound Tuesday against Wright State.
-McElroy was selected in the 32nd round of the 2012 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Cincinnati Reds, but opted to remain at UC.
-Last season, McElroy appeared in 13 ballgames with nine starts, posted a 4.41 ERA with four wins and 46 strikeouts in 63.1 innings pitched. He finished sixth in the BIG EAST Conference in fewest hits allowed (59) and 12th in opponent batting average (.252), and did not allow a triple the entire season. -In three of 13 appearances, he did not allow an earned run.
-In his lone appearance last week, a midweek start vs. Ohio on Wednesday, McElroy pitched five shutout innings, allowing just three hits, while striking out three and holding Ohio to a .188 batting average.
-True freshman left-handed pitcher Mike Conrad will make his first start as a Bearcat on Wednesday vs. Toledo.
-In five appearances out of the bullpen totaling 11 innings pitched, the West Chester, Ohio native owns a 2.45 ERA with seven walks and six strikeouts.

-Wright State went 37-21 overall in 2012, including 20-10 in the Horizon League, which was good for a second-place finish.
-WSU was picked to finish third in the 2013 Horizon League coaches poll.
-Raiders Sr. catcher Garrett Gray was named to a 2013 Preseason all-Horizon League selection. Last season, Gray was named WSU's Comeback Player of the Year, as well as a first-team all-Mideast Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings after hitting .354 in 43 games with 27 runs, three home runs and 36 RBIs while slugging .512.
-Toledo went 30-27 overall in 2012, including 19-8 in Mid-American Conference play, which was good for a second-place finish.
-The Rockets were picked to finish second in the MAC West Division in the 2013 preseason coaches' poll and received one vote to win the MAC postseason tournament.
-Junior LHP Ryan Wilkinson and senior IF Matt Delewski were named preseason first-team all-MAC performers by CollegeSportsMadness.com. Junior catcher James Miglin was named to the second team.

-Cincinnati and Wright State have played 71 ballgames all time.
-The Raiders own a slight 37-33-1 advantage in the all-time series.
-The first meetings occurred during a May 1, 1971 doubleheader in Clifton, with the Bearcats winning both games by counts of 4-1 and 9-1.
-Since 2007, Wright State and Cincinnati have played at least once, with the exception of the 2009 season.
-During that span, the Bearcats won six of the first eight games before Wright State won the three most recent contests.
-Last year, Wright State beat UC 3-2 on April 10 and 10-1 on May 2, both at Marge Schott Stadium.

-Cincinnati and Toledo have played 37 ballgames all time.
-The all-time series record is tied 18-18-1.
-The first meeting occurred during the 1952 season, with UC winning 3-0.
-The most recent matchup between UC and UT took place on March 23, 2011, with UC winning 7-5.

-Junior outfielder Justin Glass was named to the BIG EAST Conference weekly honor roll on March 25 for his performance in four games.
-Glass batted an impressive .444 (8 for 18) with two runs scored and five RBIs while slugging .444 and reaching base at a .474 clip in four contests versus Northern Kentucky and South Florida.
-For the year, Glass is tied for third in the BIG EAST in hits with six and also tied for third in RBIs with five during conference games. The 6-foot-2 slugger leads the Bearcats in batting average, RBIs, slugging percentage and hits.
-Glass is the second Bearcat to receive this honor in 2013 after freshman infielder Forrest Perron received the award March 4.

-Freshman infielder Ian Happ has reached base in the past 19 ballgames.
-Happ leads the BIG EAST Conference in walks (23) and is tied for third in the league lead in doubles (9).
-Happ also ranks tied for sixth in the conference in stolen bases with 10.
-He ranks fourth on the team with five multi-hit ballgames.
