UC Baseball to End Regular Season with Two Games on CBS Sports Network

April 8, 2013

CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati baseball team's final two regular-season games on May 17 and 18 against No. 18 Notre Dame at Marge Schott Stadium will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.

The Bearcats and Irish will play a 7 p.m. ballgame on Friday, May 17, followed by the regular-season finale for both BIG EAST schools at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18. The May 17 ballgame was previously scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start time but was moved to 7 p.m. to accommodate the TV broadcast.

Brent Stover will provide play-by-play for both games, while his color commentator and partner in the booth has yet to be announced. Stover joined CBS Sports Network in 2010 as a play-by-play announcer calling football, basketball and various other Olympic sports and in 2011 he also began serving as a studio host.

The two games versus UND will mark the second time in as many seasons UC has played in front of a live televised audience. On April 18, 2012, the Bearcats extended their winning streak against Ohio State to three games when they produced a 6-5 road win on Big Ten Network. The last time a Cincinnati home game was televised occurred April 5, 2009 when UC defeated Louisville 10-9 at Marge Schott Stadium on ESPNU.
