CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati baseball senior Justin Glass (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll) was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll on Monday as announced by the league. Glass led the Bearcats to a 3-2 week, including wins over Wright State University and Miami (Ohio) University to capture the sixth-annual Joe Nuxhall Classic crown.
Glass finished the five games last week with a team-high eight hits, six runs scored, five RBIs, two doubles and three homeruns. He had a batting average of .421 to go along with a .522 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
The senior blasted his first three homeruns of the season, hitting one in each of the three games against conference rival UConn at Marge Schott Stadium. He is now tied for the team lead with three long balls on the year.
Additionally, on April 9 against Miami, Glass played in his 200th game, becoming just the 10th player in UC baseball history to make 200 career appearances.
Glass and the Bearcats will be back at Marge Schott Stadium on Tuesday, April 14 with a game against crosstown rival Xavier at 6:30 p.m.
