CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team has cancelled its game against Northern Kentucky University on Tuesday evening due to inclement weather.

The teams sat through multiple rain delays and played through the top of the fifth inning but the game was called just one out away from an official game. The Bearcats were leading the Norse 7-6 when the game was cancelled.

Sophomore Colin Hawk (Beech Grove, Ind./Roncalli) and senior Ryan Quinn (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) each made their pitching debuts for the Bearcats. Both recorded two strikeouts, although the stats will not count towards their season totals.

The Bearcats will play at crosstown rival Xavier on Wednesday, April 30 with a 3 p.m. first pitch from XU’s Hayden Field.
