A season of experience at the major college level of competition should help Ronald Allen make a greater contribution. Allen, a casualty of Hurricane Katrina--he fled to the UC campus in the fall of 2005 after the storm ravaged New Orleans and closed Xavier University, where he played in 2004-05--became an understudy to the frontcourt positions. As the tallest Bearcat, he added size which he combines with athletic ability. He has showed the potential of being able to score. He also knows what it is like to face adversity.
