2006-07 Game-by-Game Stats

A season of experience at the major college level of competition should help Ronald Allen make a greater contribution. Allen, a casualty of Hurricane Katrina--he fled to the UC campus in the fall of 2005 after the storm ravaged New Orleans and closed Xavier University, where he played in 2004-05--became an understudy to the frontcourt positions. As the tallest Bearcat, he added size which he combines with athletic ability. He has showed the potential of being able to score. He also knows what it is like to face adversity.

2005-06 SEASON:
• Top sub to the Bearcat front line positions. • Played in all but one game.
• Started the South Carolina game in the NIT (3/23/06) and had seven points and three rebounds.
• Scored a basket and recorded three rebounds in the win over Providence (2/17/06).
• Played 10 minutes and had a basket vs. Louisville (2/6/06).
• Tallied four points and two rebounds vs. Pittsburgh (2/12/06).
• Had five points and four rebounds vs. Louisville (1/25/06).
• Had four points and two rebounds vs. Syracuse (1/14/06).
• Tied a career high with 11 points vs. North Carolina A&T, making a pair of 3-pointers.
• Set UC career highs with 11 points and five rebounds vs. Holy Cross (11/25/05).
• Scored nine points vs. Illinois State (11/22/05), going 3-of-3 from 3-point range, in a span of 1:31.
• Scored two points in his UC debut vs. Murray State (11/19/05).
• The devastation of Hurricane Katrina brought him to the Bearcats.
• Was scheduled to return to the Xavier University of New Orleans team for his junior season before the hurricane shut the school and forced him to evacuate.
• Fled to Cincinnati and was granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA.

• Overcame an early-season leg injury to become a major contributor from the bench at Xavier of New Orleans in 2004-05.
• Saw action in 19 games, averaging 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds.
• Played at Los Angeles City College in 2003-04.
• Was a McDonald's All-America nominee as a senior at Artesia High School in Los Angeles.
• Named to the California Interscholastic Federation area Sweet 16 players team.
• Participated in the City vs. CIF all-star game.
