Dave Andrews oversees the strength and conditioning program for the University of Cincinnati men's basketball program and was promoted to Head Olympic Strength and Conditioning Coach in the spring of 2008. In his role, he designs and develops the strength programs for 17 of UC's 18 sports.
Andrews has been part of the Bearcats' strength training staff since 2005. He originally came to UC as a graduate assistant football coach in 2004 and served on the staff that directed the Bearcats to a 7-5 record and the championship of the Fort Worth Bowl.
A native of Ohio, growing up near Washington Court House, Andrews was a member of the Ohio State football team for three seasons and was a member of the Buckeyes' 2002 national championship team. He launched his strength coaching career at OSU in 2003, serving as an intern on the Buckeyes' conditioning staff.
Andrews earned his bachelor`s degree at Ohio State in 2004, majoring in education. He resides in Kings Mills, Ohio with his wife, Hallie, daughter, Ella, and son, Emerson.
