2006-07 Game-by-Game Stats

Cedric McGowan brought an array of skills to the Bearcat front court in 2005-06 upon transferring from junior college. Extremely athletic, McGowan was an explosive player who can attack the rim. His greatest attribute may have been his competitiveness. He is in the mold of "undersized" post players who through their hard work and determination have had successful careers at Cincinnati.

2005-06 SEASON:
• Played a key role on the front line in his initial season as a Bearcat, following transfer from junior college.
• Started 33 of 34 games, relinquishing his starting role for Senior Day.
• Team's second-leading rebounder (7.2).
• Scored in double figures 13 times.
• Averaged 13.3 points and 8.0 rebounds in the three NIT games.

• Recorded his second double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds vs. USF (1/31/06).
• Tallied 11 points vs. Xavier (1/19/06), making a steal and converting it into a fastbreak dunk to tie the game with 41 seconds left in overtime.
• Hauled down 20 rebounds--the most by a Bearcat in eight seasons--and tied his career scoring high with 13 points vs. DePaul (1/4/06), his first career double-double.
• Keyed win over Miami (Ohio) (12/28/05) with 10 points and seven boards, rebounding from a shoulder injury suffered five days earlier.
