Chadd Moore worked hard in 2005-06 to overcome the chronic back problems which have curtailed his UC career. Moore went to far as to give up the sport near the end of the 2004-05 season. Moore has shown the potential to be a solid point guard. He possesses good court vision, is a good passer and can handle the ball in pressure situations.
2005-06 SEASON:
Made a valiant comeback, overcoming chronic back problems which limited his play the past two years and caused him to give up the sport last February.
Started six games this season.
Has averaged 21.0 minutes since Armein Kirkland's injury on Jan. 9.
Is 7-of-10 from 3-point range over his last three games.
Has averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 rebounds the past three games.
Started and played a career-high 33 minutes in the Senior Day win over West Virginia (3/4/06), and posted six points, four rebounds and four assists.
Scored a season-high 14 points, making a career-high four 3-pointers, and tied a career high with five rebounds vs. No. 2 Villanova (2/23/06).
Dished out a season-high six assists and made a pair of steals in the win over USF (1/31/06).
Hero of the win over Rutgers (1/22/06), scoring a season-high 11 points; made a steal to thwart Rutgers' game-tying shot attempt and sank two game-clinching free throws with 16 seconds to play.
Keyed the defensive effort in the win over DePaul (1/4/06), tying a career-high with four steals.
Debuted by scoring nine points in 22 minutes vs. Vanderbilt (12/10/05).
Missed the first five games this season due to his participation in a summer league when on medical hardship.
2004-05 SEASON:
Was an effective offensive and defensive spark coming off the bench at point guard.
Had seven points and had a career-high three blocks vs. Wake Forest (1/22/05), and tied his blocks high vs. USF (1/27/05).
Recorded back-to-back assists career highs of nine vs. Jackson State (12/20/04) and 10 vs. LaSalle (12/22/04).
Scored 10 points to accompany his career-high 10 assists vs. LaSalle, his first career double-double.
Had six assists and scored 10 points in the Purdue win (11/27/04).
Had six assists and eight points in the season opener vs. Valparaiso (11/19/04).
Recorded a career-high four steals in the win over Vanderbilt (12/9/04) and has had 12 steals in his last five games.
Dished out at least three assists in eight games.
Announced that he was leaving the team due to health concerns on Feb. 28.
2003-04 SEASON:
A chronic back injury curtailed his participation in practice and games.
Dished out three or more assists in 10 different games.
Scored four points and passed for two assists in five minutes of action in C-USA semifinal win over Saint Louis (3/12/04).
Scored four points and had a steal in six minutes of playing time vs. DePaul (3/4/04).
Had seven points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 14 minutes at No. 18 Wake Forest (2/15/04).
Tied a career high with three steals in the Clemson win (12/17/03).
Scored a career-high 15 points vs. Oakland (11/24/03), going 7-of-10 from the field.
2002-03 SEASON:
Emerged as the No. 2 point guard with his continued hard work and improvement.
Made his first career start in the Jan. 2 Chattanooga win and had 12 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals, all then-career highs, in 26 minutes of action.
Had played in only two previous games, none in the last 30 days before the Chattanooga contest.
Had 11 points vs. DePaul on Jan. 8.
Tallied five points and recorded five assists and a pair of blocks vs. TCU on Jan. 11.
Scored nine points in the Jan. 25 win over Charlotte.
Had four points and five assists in UC's win over UAB on March 5.
PRE-CINCINNATI CAREER:
Earned all-Eastern prep honors as a senior at Oak Hill Academy...averaged 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists while leading his team to a 32-1 record...shot 53 percent from the field and 60 percent at the foul line...played in the District of Columbia Air Jordan Classic...rated as the No. 61 high school prospect and the No. 14 senior point guard by ESPN.com. PrepStars rated him No. 58 among high school seniors with PrepSpotlight ranking him as the 10th best point guard prospect...averaged 21 points and six assists in 2000-01 at Huntsville Lee High, earning first team Class 5A all-state honors and was named to the Alabama Super Prep all-state first team...led school to a runner-up finish in the state tournament.
