Cincinnati, OH - Fifth Third Arena

Stan Heath, Head Coach

Opening Statement

"It's a good win for Cincinnati. I think they've had a couple of games that were down to the wire just like tonight. We had a couple of chances that I thought we could have cashed in and get. It's a tough one for us. It's two games in-a-row like that for us. There were segments of the game that we could have played better. The recipe of playing well and hanging in there was the recipe that we were working with today. I thought we were going to pull it out, and it just didn't happen."

On Kentrell Gransberry

"He played a little further from the block than I'd like to see him play. We made some plays out of it, but not enough. Their physical defense inside was definitely a factor. He had some lay-ups, but some of them just didn't go down."

Mick Cronin, Head Coach

Opening Statement

"Great win for our team. In the course of the season, you have to win when you are terrible on offense. The only thing we did well on offense was Deonta Vaughn made some big shots. Marcus Sikes stepped up a little bit, and we took care of the basketball with only six turnovers. Other than that, we were pretty inept. I thought our guys did great defensively in a number of different ways. They gutted out a win."

On Hrycaniuk's Defense

"Jamual Warren gets a lot of credit for being a great role player for us. I wish Adam would get the same amount for what he does for us with his defense. Kentrell Gransberry is going to get drafted (by the NBA). The defense of our big guys - especially Adam - was by far the best anyone has done against him all year. He had 18 rebounds, but he only had three offensive rebounds. Adam obviously made some mistakes down the stretch, but his defense was a big part of getting the win tonight."

Adam Hrycaniuk, Sr., C

On Guarding Kentrell Gransberry

"We doubled him, and the whole team had to stop him. None of us could stop him one-on-one, so the whole team had to work on it. We did a great job. I had to concentrate on defense. I'm not an offensive player, so I had to play hard on defensive. I had to give it all I had, and it worked out pretty well."
