Team Records Cincinnati 1-0 Murray State 0-1 Series Record Cincinnati 1, Murray State 0 The win was the 1,500th in men's basketball history at Cincinnati. UC is now 1,500-855 in its 105th season of competition. The win was the first of UC head coach Andy Kennedy's career. Cincinnati has won 40 straight home openers and is now 85-19 all-time in home openers. The Bearcats are 86-19 overall in season-openers. The game marked the first time the Bearcats have gone to overtime since a 76-70 double overtime win against Northern Iowa on Nov. 24, 2004. The Bearcats are now 43-41 all-time in overtime contests. Eric Hicks (18 points, 10 rebounds), who had 10 double-doubles in 2004-05, recorded his first of 2005-06 and 14th of his career. James White (21 points) attempted a career-high 21 field goals. Cedric McGowan (9 points, 10 rebounds) made his first career start for the Bearcats.
