CINCINNATI (AP)--Sophomore Alvin Mitchell scored a career-high 19 points and the University of Cincinnati Bearcats rolled to a 74-46 win over Western Illinois on Saturday.

Senior Mike Williams added 12 points and freshman Yancy Gates chipped in with 10 in Cincinnati's biggest win since beating Howard by 31 points in 2006.

Mitchell came off the bench to set a career high in scoring for the second consecutive game. He set his previous high of 15 points in Cincinnati's 82-51 win over Texas Southern on Thursday.

Senior guard Josh Rivers led the Leathernecks (1-3) with 14 points.

Mitchell scored nine points and Gates added eight as Cincinnati (3-0) opened up a 37-15 halftime lead. The Leathernecks missed their first seven shots as the Bearcats started the game with a 12-0 run.
