CINCINNATI - Junior Deonta Vaughn (Indianapolis, Ind./Harmony Community) scored a season-high 17 points and sophomore center Anthony McClain (Trenton, N.J./National Christian Academy) added a career-high 11 points, seven rebounds and four blocks off the bench as Cincinnati improved to 4-0 with an 82-56 win over Coastal Carolina (0-4) at Fifth Third Arena Monday evening.

UC improved to 4-0 for the first time since the 2004-05 season. It is also the first time since the 2004-05 season that the Bearcats recorded four consecutive 20-point victories after defeating Jackson State (95-43), LaSalle (84-63), Miami (OH) (77-53), and Longwood (95-69).

Vaughn's 3-pointer from several steps beyond the arc started a 17-0 run that widened Cincinnati's eight-point half time lead to 25 points, 62-37. Coastal Carolina managed only two free throws in the first 10 minutes, going 0-for-11 from the field with eight turnovers.

After shooting 70 percent in the first seven minutes, UC forced the Chanticleers to 45 percent over the final 13 minutes of the half and forced CCU to shoot 23.3 percent in the second half.

Cincinnati heads to Las Vegas, Nev. for its first test away from home at 10:30 p.m. (ET) on Friday, Nov. 28 vs. Florida State in the third round of the Global Sports Classic at the Thomas & Mack Center.
