Cashmere Wright got in the scoring column in the second half, landing a 3-pointer that began a 15-7 run for the Bearcats to open the half, giving UC a 39-30 advantage with 14:20 to go. Miami came right back, taking 27 seconds to score five points and pull within four with 12:52 remaining. The Bearcats pushed out to a 9-point lead again before the teams played a see-saw battle over the next 5:51. Wright hit back-to-back baskets and Dion Dixon curled off a screen and drained a bucket as UC pushed out to a 10-point lead and held on for the win. Wright was knocking down jumpers left and right and finished the half, and game, with a career-high tying 12 points.
