Cincinnati Game Notes
The University of Cincinnati plays host to St. John’s on Saturday at Fifth Third Arena. The game starts at 2 p.m. ET and will be televised by FOX Sports Ohio and ESPN3 and broadcast on KISS 107.1 WKFS-FM.
Winners of seven consecutive games, the Bearcats (12-3, 2-0 BIG EAST) look to start 3-0 in BIG EAST play for the first time since joining the league prior to the start of the 2005-06 season.
Dion Dixon poured in a game-high 18 points while Jaquon Parker (11) and Jeremiah Davis (10) also reached double figures in scoring to help UC post a 71-55 home win over Notre Dame on Wednesday.
St. John’s (7-7, 1-2 BIG EAST) enters Saturday’s game coming off back-to-back losses to Top 25 teams, Connecticut (83-69) and Louisville (73-58). The Red Storm lead the all-time series with Cincinnati, 7-6. The two teams split a pair of meetings last season.

STREAKS, STORYLINES, SIDEBARS
-UC is looking to start BIG EAST play 3-0 for the first time since joining the league prior to the 2005-06 season.
-Dating back to last season, UC has won seven of its last eight regular-season BIG EAST games, including each of its last four.
-The Bearcats currently lead the league in scoring defense (57.3 points allowed), three-pointers made (8.27 per game) and three-point shooting (38.0 percent) and rank second in three-point defense (29.0 percent).
-UC is averaging 11.6 three-pointers over its last seven games compared to 5.4 during its first eight games of the season.
-Cashmere Wright has handed out 43 assists with only seven turnovers (6.1-to-1 assists-to-turnover ratio) during the last seven games. He has committed four turnovers in the past six games.
-Junior guard Jaquon Parker is averaging 11.9 points and a team-best 5.9 rebounds while shooting 54.4 percent (31-of-57) from the field and 63.6 percent from three-point range (14-of-22) in the last eight games since his return from a groin injury.
