Cincinnati Storylines
-The Bearcats have won nine of their last 12 games against ranked opponents dating back to a 66-63 win at then-No. 22 Pittsburgh on Jan. 1, 2012.
-Since the start of the 2010-11 season, Cincinnati ranks third in the league with 65 overall wins, behind only Syracuse (74) and Louisville (67). The Bearcats are fourth in the conference with 24 league wins behind only Syracuse (31), Notre Dame (28) and Marquette (25).
-Cashmere Wright needs one assist Monday to move past UC legend Oscar Robertson (425 assists from 1957-60) for sole possession of fourth place in Bearcats' history.
-Mick Cronin is one win shy from taking sole possession of third place on the UC career coaching wins list. He matched Gale Catlett (126 wins from 1973-78) for third place.
-Cincinnati's defense has performed well through 15 games this season, limiting opponents to only 35.7 percent shooting from the field - second in the BIG EAST and eighth in the nation.
-Since BIG EAST play began, UC opponents have combined to shoot 1 of 19 from three-point range. Pittsburgh was 0 of 10 from beyond the arc on Dec. 31, marking the first time UC had held a BIG EAST opponent without a three-pointer since joining the league beginning with the 2005-06 season.
-The Bearcats will wear special edition "Black Out" uniforms designed and developed by adidas on Monday against Notre Dame.
-UC President Santa J. Ono will have his head shaved following the Notre Dame game, keeping his promise to the team for winning 10 consecutive games this season. (UC started 12-0.) The event lends support to the Dragonfly Foundation, which aides children and young adults being treated for cancer and blood diseases.

-Junior guard Eric Atkins leads the squad with 7.4 assists per game - third in the league.
-The Irish were picked to finish third in the BIG EAST according to a preseason poll of league coaches.

-Last season's 71-55 home win for Cincinnati snapped a three-game losing streak in the series.
-The Bearcats are looking for back-to-back wins in the series for the first time since consecutive victories in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
-Since both teams joined the BIG EAST, only one meeting (UC's 60-58 home win on Jan. 16, 2010) has been decided by less than eight points.  The only other close decision in series history came in a 79-78 Irish victory in the 1976 NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional on March 13.
