CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team returned to the national rankings on Monday when the Bearcats were listed at No. 19 in the latest Associated Press Poll. UC was ranked No. 23 in the USA Today poll.

It marks UC’s first national rankings of the season and the first since Feb. 4, 2013 when the Bearcats were tabbed No. 17 in both polls.

Cincinnati has been ranked in the AP poll at some point during each of the past four seasons, climbing as high as No. 8 last season. The Bearcats were ranked for 13 weeks in both the AP and USA Today polls a year ago – a UC head coach Mick Cronin era high.

The Bearcats play host to Temple on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network and 700 WLW. Fans can purchase tickets at or by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX.
