CINCINNATI - The seventh-ranked University of Cincinnati men's basketball team takes on No. 22 UConn on Thursday at Fifth Third Arena. The game tips at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast by ESPN and 700 WLW.

Cincinnati (21-2, 10-0 American) has won 14th consecutive games - tied for the fifth-longest win streak in the nation - following Sunday's 50-45 home victory over USF. Sean Kilpatrick led all scorers with 18 points, including UC's final eight points of the game. Justin Jackson added 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting to go with six rebounds and three blocks. Jermaine Sanders had a team-high seven rebounds.

UConn (17-4, 5-3 American) won its third straight game, an 80-43 home win over Houston on Jan. 30. Four Huskies scored in double figures led by Shabazz Napier's game-high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting and seven rebounds.

The former BIG EAST Conference rivals split a pair of meetings last season. UConn won 73-66 in overtime in Hartford on Feb. 21 while Cincinnati claimed a 61-56 victory in Cincinnati on March 2.

UConn leads the series 8-4 overall, including a 4-1 advantage in Cincinnati. The Bearcats have won two of the last three and four of the last seven meetings.

UC has a quick turnaround following Thursday's game, playing at SMU on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU and 700 WLW.

-Cincinnati's No. 7 ranking in the AP poll is its highest since being No. 6 on Jan. 20, 2004.
-UC is off to its best start overall (21-2) and in conference play (10-0) in Mick Cronin's eight-year tenure as head coach.
-The Bearcats are off to their best start since the 2001-02 squad began 26-2 en route to finishing 31-4 overall - the school record for wins in a season.
-Entering Tuesday, UC was one of eight teams in the nation with two or fewer losses on the season.
-Entering Tuesday, UC was tied with Saint Louis for the fifth-longest active win streak in the nation at 14 games. The win streak is UC's longest since starting 15-0 in 2010-11.
-UC is 10-0 in league play for the first time since 1999-2000 (ended 16-0 in Conference USA).
-UC has a 17-game home win streak. The Bearcats won their final two home games last season and are 15-0 at Fifth Third Arena in 2013-14. A win Thursday will set the arena record for most home wins to start a season.
-Sean Kilpatrick was named the American's Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 23.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in two wins last week.
-Kilpatrick leads the American in scoring (19.4 points per game), ranks second in three-pointers made (2.6) and third in free-throw shooting (86.8 percent). He is averaging 22.5 points over UC's last six games.
-Kilpatrick has scored in double figures in 99 career games at Cincinnati entering Thursday.
-Justin Jackson ranks fourth in the nation in total blocks (76) and eighth in blocks per game (3.3). He ranks among the AAC's leaders in blocks (first at 3.3), offensive rebounds (third at 3.1), rebounds (fifth at 7.0), field-goal shooting (fourth at 56.0 percent) and steals (sixth at 1.8).
-Titus Rubles is averaging career highs in minutes played (27.5), points (7.3) and rebounds (6.4). He  ranks seventh in the AAC in rebounding since the start of league action (7.3) and has pulled down at least six rebounds in 10 of UC's last 12 contests.
