The University of Cincinnati travels to New York City on Wednesday to face St. John’s at Madison Square Garden. The game starts at 7 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPNU. It also can be heard on 700 WLW-AM.

The Bearcats (16-7, 6-4 BIG EAST) snapped their three-game losing streak on Saturday with a 74-66 home win over DePaul. Five Bearcats scored in double figures, including Dion Dixon and Sean Kilpatrick who posted 16 points each. Cashmere Wright scored seven of his 11 points inside the final 4:12 of the contest to help secure the win.

St. John’s (10-13, 4-7 BIG EAST) suffered a 95-70 home loss to No. 2 Syracuse on Saturday. D’ Angelo Harrison led the Red Storm with 23 points to go with five three-pointers and five assists.

St. John’s pulled out a 57-55 win over UC on Jan. 7 at Fifth Third Arena on a tip-in at the buzzer by the Red Storm’s Moe Harkless. The Bearcats had rallied back from a 10-point deficit with 4:05 left to tie the game at 55-55 on a three-pointer by UC’s Jeremiah Davis with nine seconds left.

St. John’s holds an 8-6 lead in the all-time series.

-Cincinnati is looking to snap a two-game road losing streak Saturday at St. John’s. The pair of setbacks ended the Bearcats’ school-record seven-game BIG EAST road win streak. UC has won nine of its last 12 road games overall dating back to last season.

-The Bearcats have won six of their first 10 games to start league play for the first time since joining the conference (beginning with the 2005-06 season).

-White Plains, N.Y., native Sean Kilpatrick leads the Bearcat attack averaging 15.4 points this season. He averages 2.7 three-pointers a contest and is shooting 39.1 percent from beyond the arc. Kilpatrick has scored in double figures in 20 of 23 games this season.

-Junior guard Cashmere Wright has been a key contributor to Cincinnati’s turnaround, handing out 75 assists with only 24 turnovers (3.1-to-1 assists-to-turnover ratio) during the last 15 games.
