SCOUTING THE RED STORM
-Dwight Hardy scored a career-high 33 points and St. John's took command in the second half in an 89-72 victory over Connecticut (No. 9 ESPN/USA Today, No. 10 AP) on Thursday night
-It was Hardy's second straight 30-point effort and third this season. The senior guard is averaging a team-best 16.6 points per game.
-St. John's now has four wins against ranked teams this season, all of them coming at Madison Square Garden.
-The Bearcats are tied with St. John's in the all-time series 6-6 after beating the Red Storm 53-51 on Jan. 22 at Carnesecca Arena.
